Hello, beautiful people (girls, gays, and theys to be exact)! First, I'd like to apologize for not posting on Sunday. My girlfriend and I were glued to the TV watching women's basketball. Let me tell you! I've been on the edge of my seat all tournament! Every game has been absolutely insane. Anyway, I'm not here to talk about basketball surprisingly enough. Let's get into my ins and out as of late!
Ins
Everyone watches women's sports.
March Madness may be in full swing, but basketball is not the only sport thriving right now. The National Women's Soccer League kicked off their season just last month, and the Professional Women's Hockey League is finishing up its second season. Both sports have been incredible to watch. This year alone, women's sports are projected to earn $2.35 billion, a 25% increase from last year. That kind of increase is unprecedented. And I thought last year was the peak of women's sports, but I was mistaken. It's true when they say "everyone watches women's sports!"
Ripping the Band-Aid off.
I'd like to announce that after a month of putting all of my responsibilities off, I have finally ripped the Band-Aid off. And it's time you do, too. I'll be honest. It was really difficult to take the first step, but now that I have, everything has been easier to do. I feel quite proud of myself, as well. So send that email, talk to your boss, go to that class. Everything else will follow. Trust me.
White Lotus Sundays.
I love when shows release once a week. I may be in the minority with that statement, but I love making it a whole event to watch a show and come up with theories throughout the week. So I love White Lotus Sundays. And this season has been absolutely nuts. I won't spoil anything, but if you haven't watched, you're missing out! Stay tuned for my thoughts and predictions on this season (coming soon). I'm stoked to see how everything unfolds in the finale this week!
Being in a healthy relationship.
I've had my fair share of toxic relationships so being in a healthy one has taken some time to get uses to. However, it has been the best thing that has maybe ever happened to me (or at least in the last six years). It may be a mushy thing it say, but it's true (and I'm very mushy). To have someone that cares about me unconditionally and is always in my corner has been a game changer to say the least. I'm slowing learning that I am deserving of love and happiness, a concept that I really wrote off a long time ago. I'm not saying you need to be in a relationship or that a relationship will fix your self-esteem, but its been healing for me all the same. Remember, you are deserving of love and someone that treats you right! Shout out to my beautiful, intelligent, hilarious, caring, absolutely amazing girlfriend!
Outs
Parking in the city.
I don't care where I am, I will always hate trying to find parking in the city. Last weekend, it took my girlfriend and I forty minutes of driving in circles before we finally found a parking spot. That is ridiculous. And after I park on the street, I'm expected to pay for that parking spot. I'm already spending a boatload of money to be in the city, why am I paying for my parking spot that's six blocks away from where I'm supposed to be?! And those grimy little parking officers spend their day giving out every ticket they have and with pride, too. Like do something more meaningful with your life. Now, I'm heated!
E*** M***.
The gross little Tesla gremlin has always been out and about, but recently, he's been really out and about. I've never cared much about this man as he was quite irrelevant. Now that he's trying to get his grubby little hands on my liberties, he's at the top of my shit list. Thankfully, he as utterly humiliated by Wisconsin voters yesterday as they voted in favor of a liberal Supreme Court Justice rather than his right-wing puppet. Spending millions just for your plan to completely fail? Everything we want to see.
Cold brew coffee.
Sorry to all the cold brew girlies out there but know I am one of you. When I drink coffee, I always get cold brew. Something about the bitter hair-raising flavor just hits different. However, I think I have been phasing out of drinking coffee all together. It's just a bit too much for my palate at the moment. Don't worry though! Summer is coming, and I'll be back on a caffeine kick soon enough!
